FAQs about RAV Drum
RAV VAST2 is made from thicker steel and it's approx. 15% louder then RAV VAST, but has a bit less overtones. Both models has nice long sustain.
Please note:
- VAST2 is not an improved model of the instrument. It's just a variation with slightly different tone. Some scales works on 1,5mm steel and some works better on 2mm steel.
- It's not technically possible to make VAST scales on VAST2.
- VAST and VAST2 is the same price.

Yesterday my new RAV B double ding arrived. It is an awesome instrument and I love to play it.
I have a question though. How do I maintain it beside wipe it before and after playing. Should I use frog lube, Phoenix oil or even coconut oil on this beautiful instrument? There are a lot of YouTube videos out there with a lot of opinions, so I thought I ask you what you are using for your instruments.

glad to hear you’re enjoying your RAV!
i would recommend keeping it outside of the bag and wipe it with froglube or Phoenix oil once a month. That’s usually enough for the maintenance.

Finally receive my RAV yesterday ! Delivery problems because of the COVID situation… But the wait was so worst it !
The box was fine, the RAV sounds just beautiful… Better than expected and so intuitive with infinite possibilities.. ! Can’t do anything else than playing since I receive it.
